Color has an echo and at this exhibition’s center is Sam Gilliam, internationally recognized as one of America’s foremost Color Field Painters and Lyrical Abstractionist artists. Around Gilliam, there’s restraint, equanimity and balance. There is the blackness of both Rico Gatson’s and Dan Steinhilber’s sculptural abstractions, works that are intensified by Jane Kent’s overlapping musical scores, further blurred by Hildur Ásgeirsdóttir Jónsson painting upon silk threads and made distinctive by Meg Lipke’s beeswax with India-inked and fabric dyed drawings. -thru Aug 24
762. Pear Drops
Pear drops are a traditional British hard candy. They look like a pear, and taste kind of like a pear, but mostly just like candy. I got them in a bag of mixed hard candies with cola cubes and pineapple chunks and rosy apples. I do like pear drops but they’re actually my least favourite of all the candies in the bag, so I would put any of the others on the list ahead of them. The others are all a bit more tangy so I think they appeal more to my sour-loving sensibilities.

Chick-Fil-A came under criticism this month after a report by the organization Equality Matters revealed that the company donated around $2 million to antigay Christian organizations in 2010. “Guilty as charged,” the fast-food chain’s president Dan Cathy said over allegations that his company is antigay.
So. Here we are. Tumblr, listen up.
We’re hoping to find a current or former employee of Chick-Fil-A who might want to spill the beans on life inside the alleged antigay company.
If that’s you, or you know someone who might want to talk to us, please email email@example.com. And if you’d like to help spread the word of our search, a reblog or a tweet would be most appreciated.
Getting this out there.

a series of mixed media works on canvas, panel and paper. Green’s signature aesthetic combines figurative abstraction, organic cubism, fluid line work and stylized letterforms. Using an array of mediums with an intuitive, stream-of-consciousness creative process, the artist’s skillful approach involves rich layers of overlapping elements, intricately woven into tapestry-like compositions. - thru June 16
Why the fuck is Cannabis illegal? Certainly not because it is a hazard to our health. If that was the case, alcohol, cigarettes, even prescription pills should be illegal. Cars should be illegal!!! Those 4 things kill millions. Pot has killed, ummm……. none. It was made illegal ONLY…
Cos it fucks with your mind. I smoked it for 4 years and I have no motivation nowadays.
Alcohol is illegal if you’re under 18 anyway.
Andy these are the things that feel like willies. Tehehe
